Uniqueness of wood:
Amaranth wood, also known as Purple Heart, is an exotic hardwood that comes from the tropical forests of Central and South America and is prized for its exceptional purple color. After the fresh cut, the wood initially appears brownish, but after a short time it develops an intense, natural purple colour, which makes it a real eye-catcher. Due to this unique colour and the special grain, amaranth wood is ideal for exclusive furniture, jewellery and cutting boards.
In addition to its impressive appearance, amaranth wood is characterized by high strength and resistance. It is one of the hardest woods in the world, which makes it extremely durable and resistant to wear and tear. This robustness combined with the exceptional color makes it the perfect choice for projects where both durability and aesthetic preferences are required. Amaranth wood is also resistant to moisture and pests, which makes it suitable for outdoor use and for heavily used surfaces.
Amaranth wood is the ideal choice for anyone looking for a unique, durable and visually striking material. It adds an exclusive touch to any project and convinces with its combination of robustness and aesthetics. Whether for luxurious furniture, stylish floor coverings or extraordinary accessories – amaranth wood offers a unique opportunity to give rooms and designs a special, individual charisma. With its unparalleled color and high durability, it is the perfect choice for projects that need to be both durable and impressive.
Wood is a natural product and each piece is unique. Color differences and growth-related irregularities are natural properties of the material. These variations in structure and color make each piece special. Wood can vary in volume, which can lead to warping, cracking, and fit inaccuracies. These properties do not constitute a defect and do not constitute a warranty claim. Direct sunlight can change the colour of the wood.
Processing instructions:
Amaranth / Purple Heart planks are difficult to work with with conventional woodworking tools. Due to their density and hardness, we always recommend using sharp and high-quality tools to achieve clean cuts and a perfect finish. Amaranth / Purple Heart planks are great for cutting boards.

Can I process the wood immediately?
For all the woods we sell, we specify the range of residual moisture that the wood has. Depending on the intended use, you can usually start working on them immediately, but it is advisable to let the woods acclimatize a little for filigree work such as instrument making.
